Lindsay + Cyrus
Their families’ international travel brought Lindsay and Cyrus together on multiple occasions—first in Malaysia when they were in third grade, then in Paris, when the two were college students, and again, in Houston, where they realized they lived a few short blocks from one another in Midtown. One evening, Cyrus invited a bunch of local friends to gather for Happy Hour via group text, and though several people responded, Lindsay ended up being the only one who showed up. Which was perfect for Cyrus: “After our wonderful evening together, I proclaimed to myself, ‘I am going to marry this woman, she is perfect.’” And on Nov. 4, 2017, that’s exactly what he did. “It was so relaxing and enjoyable getting ready on our wedding day with our wedding party,” Lindsay says of their rustic-elegant Austin event. “Everyone stayed on premise at our venue, which made it so convenient.” She notes that the evening’s toasts were among her favorite moments: “They covered the full range of emotions, from laughter to tears. There were stories, memories relived, and the kindest wishes for our future. We felt so loved, and will always remember the words shared in celebration of our wedding!”
