Samantha and Dharmesh met at the groom’s makeup store in 2014 and became co-workers in 2016. They fell in love in 2018 and, according to the bride, have been inseparable ever since. She considers them “artists and entrepreneurs enjoying life together as soul mates.”
During a surprise trip to Colorado planned by Dharm, he proposed to Sam. High in the mountains, cliffside, he popped the question. A hidden photographer captured the big moment from behind the trees. “It was a thoughtful, beautiful, and unforgettable proposal,” says Sam.
On May 21, 2023, Sam and Dharm wed with an al fresco Hindu ceremony under a lively mandap infused with bright florals. The wedding festivities were a fusion of cultures held at a destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Their two outdoor ceremonies—one Hindu ceremony and one traditional Christian ceremony—had a tropical theme of vibrant orange, magenta, and blue hues.
Polished Makeup & Hair had the family looking perfect for the big day. Later in the evening, Sam slipped into a traditional white wedding gown for their reception under the stars. The couple’s Indian-fusion wedding concluded with fireworks lighting the Mexican night sky. According to Sam, the whole day was perfect. “Every single moment was special; I wish we could do it all over again!” says the bride.
