Seth proposed to Marla four years after they first met at Houston’s Day for Night music festival. The proposal happened during their annual tradition of seeing the iconic River Oaks Christmas Lights. Seth revealed a stunning center-cut diamond ring from Zadok Jewelers and asked the big question. Shortly after, the planning for their wedding was underway, only to be halted by the pandemic.

“Extending a nine-month engagement to a seventeen-month engagement presented many obstacles. However, navigating through them together helped us as a couple to grow even more,” says Marla. Their vision for the ceremony and reception was minimalistic and chic. Therefore, the couple went for a classic monochromatic color palette of black, white and gray.

When Devin first noticed Rachel, she was already wearing a white dress and veil. At the time, the pair were just 13 years old, but even still, Devin knew he’d marry that girl someday. And that’s exactly what he did! While Devin and Rachel dated for a few months, about a year later, they broke up because of the long-distance. But, in typical millennial fashion, Devin and Rachel connected through social media again in 2017. “One DM on Instagram, and less than a year later, we were engaged!” said Rachel.

The proposal was nothing short of magical. The couple was on a trip to the US Virgin Islands when Devin had Rachel follow a fun scavenger hunt, hop on a boat, and venture to a private island. With the whole beach to themselves, Devin popped the question, and Rachel happily said yes! With such a thoughtful, intimate engagement, it only fits that their wedding was the same.
