After starting their wedding planning and vendor search with Weddings In Houston, Marcus and Rachel chose luxurious hacienda-inspired wedding venue The Bell Tower on 34th for their early spring wedding. The venue’s picturesque architecture made for a perfect setting for dreamy wedding day portraits, stunningly captured by Houston wedding photographer Civic Photos.

For their ceremony, the couple took advantage of the versatile venue’s elegant on-site chapel. Rachel walked down the aisle strewn with rose petals to say, ‘I do’ in a traditional wedding ceremony amidst 200 of their nearest and dearest. The romantic, garden-inspired reception décor featured ivory and dusty rose floral arrangements by Plants N’ Petals, beautifully complimenting the grand ballroom. The newlyweds made their grand exit under a shower of rose petals tossed by their guests.

Blush & Champagne Great Gatsby Wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th

Sparks flew instantly when Clara and Marko met one fateful night at a favorite Woodlands watering hole. The pair were so captivated by each other, in fact, that an impromptu first date followed at a local diner, as soon as the bar closed for the night. Over bacon and coffee, Clara knew she found someone special, and soon the lovebirds were traveling the world together. As for Marko’s proposal, spontaneity sparked the moment: “One night, when we were in our pajamas, eating junk food and watching Disney movies, it felt right, and I got on one knee, right then and there,” he says. The couple had their ceremony and reception at The Bell Tower on 34th, where an elegant, villa-like atmosphere evoked the couple’s favorite book, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s “The Great Gatsby.” Notes Clara: “My favorite moment was my entrance down the grand staircase, and seeing the love of my life waiting at the end of the long walkway for me.” Our favorite moment? White, Gray & Silver Wedding at The Bell Tower on 34th

Lauren and Steve truly believe that fate brought them together. “I met Steve on his first night in Houston after graduation. He was having a housewarming party, and I was invited through his roommates. As soon as I arrived, I noticed Steve and how attractive he was! He was the DJ for the night, and I told him how much I loved his music and how I wanted to add him on Facebook so I could add his Spotify music account,” says Lauren…admitting that she really just needed an excuse to continue talking to him.

After exchanging messages, Steve asked Lauren out on a date. “I was having a procedure the next day, but I was so excited that he asked me out, I couldn’t say no,” Lauren adds. “He took me out to dinner but I couldn’t eat, so he didn’t eat either. [Awww] We just had water and tea, and talked for hours! I knew right then that he was the kind of guy I wanted to end up with,” she says.

For his marriage proposal, Steve made the occasion seem like a normal date night to Lauren. “He told me that he was taking me out for a nice dinner, which was not uncommon,” she recounts. The plan was to dine at the top of the highest building in downtown Houston. “I got all dressed up in my new dress that Steve bought for me a few days before. When we arrived at the top of the JP Morgan Chase Tower, it was then I noticed the candles that were surrounding us. Steve said so many sweet things, most of which I will never remember because I was so excited, and dropped to one knee,” she says. But that wasn’t the end of the surprise—Steve had arranged for Lauren’s family and friends to be at the actual dinner location to celebrate!

“Our wedding day was everything I had dreamed of since I was a child. I got to marry the love of my life with my best friends by my side,” Lauren says. Favorite moment? “When all of my stress and craziness vanished as the doors of The Bell Tower on 34th chapel opened and I got to see my husband for the first time, wiping tears from his eyes,” she adds.
