Julianna and Stephen’s love story began six years ago at the Heights White Linen Night in Houston and led to a romantic proposal at sunset on Jade mountain in St. Lucia.
On October 24, 2020, the couple married at a church ceremony. “One of the special moments included our first look in the Cloister Garden at St. Martin’s; it was a beautiful romantic setting to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. The Garden is full of lush greenery, and the first cold front of the year had just blown through, so we had the perfect fall weather for this beautiful moment,” says Julianna.
The Post Oak Hotel was the setting for a lavish celebration. Blush roses and white hydrangea filled the reception tables in elegant compote vases and delicate glass risers. Guests dined on braised beef short ribs, crab cake, herb spaetzle, carrots, asparagus and a hummingbird cake with cream cheese icing, dark chocolate and raspberries.
The celebratory evening concluded with the newlyweds exiting under a shower of dazzling sparklers. Julianna notes: “We had a plated dinner for 185 guests, and the service was impeccable, the food was so delicious, and all of our guests who chose to use the hotel accommodations for their stay raved about the rooms and service. The Post Oak delivered a 5-star experience for both our guests and us.”
