Some Houston brides want floral abundance and frilly linens. Some want crystals and chandeliers. And some, like Suzanne, want to keep things casual yet chic. “We wanted our wedding to be modern and simple,” she explains. For her Houston wedding to Jason at the historic Sam Houston Hotel’s cool, contemporary Veranda by *17 terrace space, interior designer Suzanne stuck to minimal yellow and gray decor, along with passed heavy hors d’oeuvre and no assigned seats. “We wanted it to be a party! Everyone had a great time celebrating with us, with lots of dancing.” Plus, she adds, “Actually getting Jason to dance was great!” Cheers to the fun-loving couple, and big thanks to photographer Adam Nyholt for the fab photos of this unique and lovely Sam Houston Hotel wedding.
