A Spring Wedding Bursting with Blue, Green and Yellow Details

Monika and Mitchell’s love story began at a mutual friend’s beach house in Galveston right after their first year of college. Both Longhorns at the University of Texas, they started dating the following year.

Mitchell brought their love story full circle with a proposal in Galveston, the very place they first met. He popped the question at his grandparents’ beach house, where they celebrated their engagement surrounded by family, friends and the coastal charm of Galveston.

In spring 2024, Monika and Mitchell celebrated their union in Houston, kicking off their wedding weekend with a fabulous rehearsal dinner at Ouisie’s Table. Guests sipped cocktails in The Bear’s Garden before heading into the main dining room, where tables adorned with white linens and blue hydrangea arrangements set the tone for an elegant evening. Monika stole the show in a stunning green and yellow dress—a subtle nod to the color palette for the big day.

The next day, the couple exchanged vows in a classic church ceremony, followed by a reception that was a true celebration of spring. Think green-printed linens, yellow and blue accents and even customized yellow matches—details that made their spring color-scheme pop. At the center of it all was a show stopping four-tier wedding cake by Susie’s Cakes. Monika’s favorite touch? The yellow floral-printed dance floor that kept the party vibes going strong!

Monika switched into a short, reimagined vintage wedding gown for the reception, perfect for dancing the night away. The couple’s Longhorn pride came out as they threw up the Hook’ Em Horns sign with their guests. Late-night milk and cookies kept everyone fueled before a private last dance, and the evening ended on a high note with a mariachi band serenading their send-off to a decked-out getaway ride.
