Megan + Kyle
For his proposal to Megan, Kyle knew he would have to center her entire memory of the moment around her favorite spot in Houston: the Houston Zoo, where she had volunteered for over five years. So, during the annual winter Zoo Lights event, he blocked off the end of the zoo's reflecting pool and asked her to be his wife, surrounded by their families. The couple, who met as law students, and faced the challenge of planning a wedding while both working 12- to 15-hour days, opted for an all-white wedding, with hints of gold, to celebrate officially becoming "the Whites," the bride says. "Our theme was, essentially, 'it's a nice day for a white wedding,'" she explains, noting the lush white florals that filled their celebration space at the chic, modern JW Marriott Houston Downtown. "We are also big travelers, so our cake had a world map on it, with our wedding date on the bottom tier."
